  • NASDAQ OMX®, on behalf of Russell Indexes, will begin disseminating the following new Russell Global indexes on Monday, January 30, 2012, on RussellTickTM:
  • Russell Developed ex-US Net Return (Symbol: RUDXUN)
  • Russell Developed ex-US SC Net Return (Symbol: RUDXUSN)
  • Russell Developed ex-US LC Net Return (Symbol: RUDXULN)
  • Russell Emerging Mkts Net Return (Symbol: RUEMMKN)
  • Russell Emerging Mkts SC Net Return (Symbol: RUEMMSN)
  • Russell Emerging Mkts LC Net Return (Symbol: RUEMMLN)

What are the new indexes?

The new net return indexes are being launched to support two existing Russell index families—Russell Developed ex-U.S. and Russell Emerging Market indexes. The Russell Developed ex-U.S. index measures the performance of the largest investable securities in developed countries globally, excluding companies assigned to the United States. The Russell Emerging Markets index measures the performance of the investable securities in emerging countries globally.

How will the indexes be disseminated?

Effective Monday, January 30, 2012, data recipients will receive end-of-day index information from the proprietary RussellTick data feed.

NASDAQ OMX will identify these indexes via the following data elements in RussellTick:

NASDAQ OMX will also support the following directory messages on RussellTick:

  • Index End of Day Summary (Category A - Type B): Disseminated at the end of the U.S. and European trading session to relay closing index summary data.
  • Index Directory (Category A - Type C): Disseminated at the start of each day to relay basic index information.
